All screenshots in this guide were taken in Windows 2003, the process should be pretty much the same on all systems.

First you need to open “Computer Management” by following the image below or go to run and type “compmgmt.msc”.

You will need to click the [+] on the “Services and Applications” tree to see the “WMI Control” option.

Right click the “WMI Control” option and click properties.

Once the WMI window appears you will need to click the security tab.
Find and highlight CMIV2 and press the security button at the bottom of the window.

Click the user Everyone and find and tick Remote Enable, click ok.

Now your done Status2k should be able to collect WMI data.
